Who we are

What we collect, and why
The enquiry form: your name, business name, email, optional phone number and what you tell us about your situation. We use it for one thing: replying to your enquiry and, if you become a client, delivering the work. Lawful basis: taking steps at your request before entering a contract.
Email: if you email us, we keep the correspondence. Written records are how we work — it protects you as much as us.
Server logs: like almost every website, our hosting provider (Hostinger) keeps standard technical logs (IP address, pages requested) for security.
Fonts: this site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests files from Google's servers when a page loads.
What we don't do
No advertising trackers on this site. No selling or renting your details, ever. No mailing lists you didn't ask for. No passing your information to anyone except the suppliers who make the service work (hosting and email, above). If we add measurement tools later (such as Google Analytics), we'll update this page first.
How long we keep things
Enquiry records: up to 24 months, then deleted. Client records: for the length of the engagement plus the period UK law requires for business and tax records. Correspondence forming a contractual record: kept as part of that record.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for corrections, ask for deletion, or object to our processing. Email info@the28group.co.uk and you'll have a written reply within a month. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
For our clients' customers
Where we run websites or marketing for client businesses, any customer data collected belongs to that business — we process it only on their instructions. Questions about a client business's data should go to that business first; we'll always help them answer.
