From 5 pages to 770+ URLs
— and into AI search.
Our flagship client is a 24/7 nationwide vehicle recovery specialist. Great operation, 200+ Google reviews at 4.9 stars, and a website that was invisible. Here's exactly what we did — and kept doing. Every number on this page comes from the real, live build.
The starting point
Five pages: home, contact, services, about and an empty blog. No location coverage, no individual service pages, no structured data, a sitemap five months stale, and previous agency work that had left 231 links pointing at a completely different company's website. The business was spending heavily on Google Ads because organic search produced almost nothing — the site gave Google no reason to rank it.
What we did
Week one: foundations. Full technical audit, then straight into repairs: search-optimised titles and descriptions on every page, structured data telling Google exactly what the business is and where it operates, tracking installed, and hundreds of inherited errors cleaned out, including those 231 links to someone else's website.
Coverage. We built the page architecture a nationwide operator should have: motorway corridor pages (M1, M6, M25 and more), 39 motorway service-station pages, dozens of city and county pages, individual service pages, hub pages tying it all together, and a deep library of advice and cost guides. Then we kept compounding — the site now stands at 770+ live URLs, every page unique, every page wired to one goal: the phone call.
Then: sharpening. Page speed tripled and image weight cut by around 96%. Structured data — including FAQ and review schema — so both search engines and AI assistants understand the business. Internal linking between neighbouring areas. A sticky, thumb-friendly call bar on every mobile screen. And a dedicated AI-search (AEO) layer so the business is quotable by ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity.
Why this matters for your business
This is the method every 28 Group client gets: fix the foundations first, build the coverage your market actually searches for, measure the calls, then compound. If it works for "vehicle recovery" — one of the most competitive local-intent searches in the UK — it can work for your trade too.
Your market has a story like this waiting.
Every trade has its version of "5 pages and an invisible website". The method that fixed this one is packaged, priced and ready for yours.
